<p>The West Side faces a 16-year gap in life expectancy compared to the national average. Red lost his cousin to gun violence at 19—a tragedy that's all too common in our neighborhoods. Red supports community-based safety programs, expanded mental health services, and addressing the root causes of violence through economic opportunity and youth programming. Public safety means everyone feels secure.</p>
